This collaborative effort on behalf of Acumass and Direct Validation is an educational one with the sole purpose of allowing you to compare the cost of your existing traditional validations after grant from the European Patent Office vs Unitary Patent costs.

HOW THESE CALCULATIONS WORK

The Validation cost is calculated by using the EP Validation calculator from Direct Validation. The prices include translations, service fees, official fees. The Unitary Patent cost includes the mandatory translation during the transition period, opt-out fee if applicable and the cost of validations in countries which do not participate in the Unitary Patent system (Non-EU countries and non-participants within the EU). Added to this are the annual fee for Unitary Patent (the so called True Top 4 price list) including a service fee, and annual fees in each country including service fees where it was necessary to validate.
Discounts for SME and volunteer licensing are included if applicable.
